  • Recognize how service design methods can support the early development of AI solutions by aligning them with user and business needs.

Four modules

Rethinking business in the age of AI

AI is significantly impacting business models, requiring companies to rethink how they create and capture value. To harness the full potential of AI, it is not enough to simply automate existing processes. Organizations must explore how AI can open new opportunities, improve decision-making, and enhance customer experiences.

Understanding AI and the power of data

Businesses do not need to master every technical detail to harness AI’s potential. What matters is understanding what AI can do, how different technologies function, and how they can be applied to real-world business challenges. The foundation of AI is data. Without high-quality, well-managed data, even the most advanced AI systems cannot generate meaningful insights.

Designing AI solutions for real needs

A human-centered approach helps ensure that AI serves actual user needs. Identifying the right problems to solve with AI is crucial, as poorly chosen applications can lead to inefficiencies or disappointments. Service design offers a structured way to align user needs with business goals, particularly in the early phases of development when key decisions are made.

Learning from real-world AI experiments

One way to understand AI is through practical use case examples. Seeing how AI has been applied to solve real business problems can help organizations better understand its potential—as well as the challenges it may bring within their own context. In the AI2Business online course, three experimental use cases are presented to illustrate real-world customer needs from the industry.
